Auditor Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
This Auditor position will be required to perform various financial functions such as examining fiscal and accounting records (bank statements financial ledgers financial statements and payroll records). The Auditor will review food service receipts and invoices to determine allowability of expenses and write reports summarizing the results of the review. This position requires good organizational and time management skills and a professional approach to working with program staff and the public. Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Programs are required. This position will not supervise; occasional travel may be required.
Desired Experience
Candidates should have experience completing the following tasks:
Perform basic bookkeeping accounting and financial record keeping procedures. Some knowledge of financial terminology payroll procedures and budget preparation.
Ability to compute classify and record numerical data to keep financial records complete.
Perform routine review and verification of financial data and accounting records.
Check the accuracy of figures calculations and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software including but not limited to Outlook Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working for a federally funded child nutrition program such as the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
Experience working in a fast paced office setting conducting a wide range of auditing tasks to support program operations.
Experience using Microsoft Office Programs including Outlook and Word in addition to an online payment processing system such as the CACFP Information and Payment System (CIPS) and management storage systems such as Docstar eFile Management Software.
