Job Description

Risk Specialist

As hhe Risk Specialist you play a pivotal role in identifying assessing and managing risks to ensure the safety and security of the agency. This position is responsible for developing implementing and coordinating risk management strategies and emergency response plans to mitigate potential hazards and vulnerabilities. The Risk Specialist collaborates with internal and external stakeholders including government agencies first responders and community organizations to enhance preparedness response and recovery efforts. As the primary point of contact for risk management and emergency coordination this role ensures the effective handling of crises and the overall safety of staff clients and the communities served by the agency.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma

Defined Education: None

Preferences: Bachelors Degree in Social Work Behavior Health Human Services Public Health Emergency Management Logistics Training Emergency Management

Substitutions: None

Years Experience: Three (3) years

Defined Experience: Emergency Management Public Safety or a related field.

License/Certifications: None

Special Courses: NIMS(300 and 400 may be completed within the first 6 months of employment).
