As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic CNS Healthcares mission is to serve the people of our communities. The Programs Specialist position acts as a mentor and training support for new and existing Programs staff specializing in essential tasks and functions of case management and ACT. The core elements of this position include 1. providing guidance and on-the-job training for new staff 2. Reviewing documentation for appropriate clinical content 3. Assistance with reporting and/or special project completion and follow up. This position reports to identified Team Supervisor or Program Manager.
Compensation Range:
The starting pay for this position with Bachelors is $44000 for unlicensed candidates $55200 limited licensed candidates and $57500 annual salary for fully licensed candidates. With Masters $59800 for limited licensed candidates and $64400 annual salary for fully licensed candidates and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.

- Provides support to Case Managers or identified team as well as the Team Supervisor including professional development and training/observation of employees job duties and functions report data to team on past due reviews and documentation provides support to the team members in supervisors absence.
- Complete reports and special projects as directed
- Provides services within identified service line to a caseload of a predetermined size and in accordance with program fidelity/monthly requirements
- Including completion of annual paperwork person-centered planning where appropriate and linking to internal and external resources as needed
- Meets all documentation guidelines and requirements for assigned caseload
- Provides mentorship for new staff in the Person-Centered Planning process
- Review and sign off on documents including IPOS Crisis Plan and annual assessments for new staff in their first 90 days of employment
- Share observations with team supervisors on the development progress and performance of new staff in their first 90 days of employment
- Meets all performance expectations for identified service line
- Assists with resolving customer service concerns
- Works closely with Training and Education to ensure sharing of updated information
- Has awareness of CNS Healthcare and all other applicable policies and procedures.
- Attends training and continues to remain knowledgeable about current best practices in services to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring diagnoses.
- Trains families and consumers on their rights and due process.
- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge by readings in-service training in designated areas and other activities in consultation with clinical supervisor. Complete at least 24 hours of in-service training on annual basis.
- Required to meet productivity standards for program and maintain required utilization review score.
- Provides comprehensive and coordinated care within the framework of the agencies integrated health care practice model
- Completion of all other duties that are needed to support the consumers and their family.
Qualification:
Required
- A QMHP with a Bachelor Degree in a human service field and a year of experience.
Preferred
- LLBSW LBSW LLMSW or LLPC or other applicable behavioral health license preferred.
- One (1) year of experience working with individuals with mental illness.
- Working knowledge and understanding of mental illness co-occurring substance use disorders medications used in treating behavioral health conditions and experience with other interventions used to treat behavioral health conditions.
- Ability to share and teach about the symptoms of substance use disorders that are similar to those of other medical and/ or psychological disorders and how these disorders interact.
- Ability to recognize the importance of collecting and reporting on outcome data.
- Ability to apply methods for measuring the multiple variables of treatment outcome.
- Working knowledge of applicable Federal State and Local laws and regulations the CNS Corporate Compliance Program CNS Code of Ethics as well as other policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively professionally and courteously.
- Ability to use discretion and judgment when handling matters of a sensitive or confidential nature.
- Advanced time management problem solving customer service interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Advanced collaboration and team working skills.
- Ability to be forward thinking and take initiative to accomplish goals and objectives of the department.
- Intermediate level experience with computers and Microsoft office products.
- Required Valid and Unrestricted Drivers License
