Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accounting Officer to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organizations financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update the general ledger and chart of accounts.
Prepare journal entries reconcile accounts and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
Monitor and reconcile bank accounts and ensure accuracy in cash transactions.
Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes.
Prepare tax filings support statutory reporting and ensure timely submission of government compliance documents.
Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies trends and variances.
Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
Provide support in managing accounts payable and receivable as needed.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
Minimum 24 years of experience in general accounting or a similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle or similar).
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA or equivalent professional certification is a plus.
Experience in a corporate finance environment or audit firm.
Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance in Philippines.
