As a Backend Engineer at Anon youll contribute to building and scaling our enterprise data migration platform that enables companies to seamlessly transfer customer data between systems. Youll work on secure authentication systems data extraction workflows and platform integrations while learning from experienced engineers. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your backend engineering skills while working on cutting-edge AI infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

What Were Looking For

Technical Requirements

2-5 years of backend engineering experience
Strong proficiency in TypeScript/ for backend development
Experience building REST APIs and understanding of API design principles
Basic knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL
Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP AWS or Azure)
Understanding of Docker and containerization
Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
Knowledge of web security fundamentals
GraphQL experience is a plus
CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions is a plus
Basic understanding of networking concepts (HTTP TCP) is a plus

Culture and Mindset

Builder mentality with examples of personal projects or contributions to larger systems
Strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced startup environment
Self-motivated with ability to work independently when given clear direction
Good communication skills and openness to feedback
Attention to detail and commitment to writing clean maintainable code

Nice to Have

Experience with data engineering or ETL pipelines
Previous startup experience

Experience with monitoring and observability tools
