Job Description
THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this leadership role you will be required to maintain organization and structure to assist casework staff in their job performance duties. You will supervise caseworkers who investigate Child Protective Services (CPS) General Protective Services and provide direct and case management services to abused and neglected children and their families. Work involves distributing work-related tasks and responsibilities reviewing permanency plans to ensure goals are being met and ensuring documentation is in compliance with agency policies. You will have the opportunity to meet individually with caseworkers to review and discuss cases.
Other duties to include but not limited to:
- Monitoring and preparing State required reports
- Preparing cases for court
- Consulting with outside agencies for treatment of children and families coordinating delivery of services
- Consulting with on-call staff regarding situations during non-scheduled hours
Help us to ensure the safety permanency and well-being of children served.Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday - Friday with 30-minute lunch.
- This position includes working evening and weekend hours as well as performing on-call duties.
- In addition to the annual salary on-call compensation is awarded for covering on-call shifts during evenings weekends and holidays at 25% of the hourly rate.
- Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelors degree with major course work in sociology social welfare psychology gerontology criminal justice or other related social sciences; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology social welfare psychology gerontology criminal justice or other related social sciences.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police clearance PA Child Abuse history clearance and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
