Description

Position Summary

Trico is currently recruiting to add a Receiver / Materials Handler to our team. A critical role to the efficiency of operations the Receiver / Materials Handler is responsible for ensuring incoming component parts are accurately and promptly received and stocked in their correct locations. The Receiver / Materials Handler will also drive to local vendor locations to pick up or drop off parts.


RESPONSIBILITIES of this position include:

  • Receive materials products and parcels from vendors and delivery services
  • Verify items delivered are correct and are in good condition
  • Follow procedures to report quantity or quality discrepancies
  • Drive to local vendors for part drop off or pick up (approximately 20% of the time)
  • Daily use of the ERP software to log materials receipt inventory adjustments and location management
  • Stock incoming items in the appropriate locations
  • Maintain a clean organized and safe receiving area
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with vendors and delivery drivers


Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS to be considered for this position:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent education
  • Have a valid drivers license and have a good driving record as outlined in policy
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills for professional interactions with freight carriers customers customs officials and other Trico employees
  • Be willing to learn how to use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and a forklift
  • Within one month obtain and maintain OSHA-complaint forklift certification
  • Be able to lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds and carry them for up to 10 feet
  • Be able to stand sit bend reach and move about the facility
  • Display flexibility to accommodate changing tasks and priorities
