As the Director Associate Relations reporting to the Sr. Director Employee Relations you will play a pivotal role in shaping a positive workplace culture across our organization that supports employees to do their best work. You will develop and implement comprehensive employee relations policies and procedures that align with our organizational values and ensure consistency transparency and accountability in the application of employment policies and practices. You will lead initiatives in governance related to HR matters resolve workplace conflicts address employee concerns and conduct thorough workplace investigations. Bringing a deep understanding of employment legislation you will navigate and uphold both company and industry regulations fostering an environment of trust and collaboration across our diverse workforce.
Location:
This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum on-site presence of 3 days per week at our Dallas TX or Tampa Florida office. Other office locations may be considered.
Travel 15-25%.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement employee relations strategies that align with the Associate Value Proposition.
Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on employee engagement conflict resolution workplace investigations and disciplinary actions.
Oversee and conduct complex and sensitive investigations into employee complaints including harassment discrimination retaliation and other workplace issues.
Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations (e.g. Title VII FMLA ADA FLSA NLRA).
Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to mitigate risk and address legal concerns.
Lead and manage the employee relations team and/or HR business partners in addressing workplace concerns.
Analyze trends in employee relations issues and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
Develop and maintain clear up-to-date employee relations policies procedures and training programs.
Drive efforts to improve organizational culture employee morale and retention.
Prepare reports and present findings to senior leadership including metrics related to investigations grievances and outcomes.
Qualifications include:
Bachelors degree in human resources or equivalent experience.
10-12 years of experience leading high performing associate relations teams or functions with strong strategic vision and thought leadership abilities.
Demonstrated experience managing and scaling high-performing investigations or ER teams; previous people management experience is required.
Proven experience leading a high-performing team.
Expertise in employment law EEO regulations anti-retaliation principles and investigation methodologies.
Fearless judgment and executive presence; proven ability to navigate ambiguity and high-pressure situations with discretion and resolve.
Exceptional written communication skills with a strong track record of producing clear concise and legally defensible investigation reports.
Proven ability to de-escalate high stakes matters and deliver difficult messages with clarity and empathy.
High integrity impeccable ethics and a steadfast commitment to confidentiality and fairness.
