General Job Description:
The DTC oversees the District and schools state and federal assessments. The MLSS Coordinator oversees the Districts MLSS/SAT process.
Qualifications:
- New Mexico Administrators PreK-12 or K-12 License Required and/or Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction
- Demonstrated leadership in working with students staff parents and the general public.
- Ability to implement programs to improve educational achievement

Physical Requirements:
Sitting standing lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.) reaching squatting kneeling.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Coordinates multiple local state and federally required assessments which includes but is not limited to collaboration with site test coordinators filing reports with NM PED development of an annual district assessment calendar collection of evidence of test administrator certifications and assessment documentation and disaggregation/analysis of data.
- Monitors test completion to ensure 95% student participation rate.
- Serves as liaison between district and NM PED assessment department personnel.
- Participates in on-going assessment professional development provided by NM PED.
- Leading planning and organizing professional development opportunities
- fall and spring test training for staff at all school sites.
- Maintain data standards including adherence to the Data Protection Acts affecting public schools
- Facilitate external data importing/exporting of student data to the various online testing environments
- Integrate and link Common Core State Standards learning standards to formative and summative assessments
- Implement software updates for Online course work testing and data warehousing
- Develop solutions to complex problems with ingenuity and innovation while ensuring solutions are consistent with Districts goals and objectives
- Other tasks assigned by Superintendent
- Support implementation of the Districts strategic planning objectives
MLSS Site Support Coach
SUMMARIZED JOB DESCRIPTION
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold an Instructional Level II or Level III license
- Minimum 5 years experience teaching/administrator in NM Schools
- Experience leading supporting and coaching adult learners
- Experience with synchronous platforms such as ZOOM
- Familiarity with NM MLSS Frameworks
- Familiarity with McKinney-Vento Program Homeschooling Retention Policies PBIS SEL At-Risk Students Behavior Students 504s and the Attendance for Success Act Frameworks
- Experience with implementing maintaining and progress monitoring the SATprocess to include providing student services student referrals from Level I to Level II and Level II to Level III.
- Understanding of the criteria for selecting appropriate supports/interventions for ELs; general academics and behavior concerns
- Well-informed of current research about Community Schools and Parent Engagement
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide technical assistance coaching and support to school principals SAT Chairs and school teachers through Zoom Canvas phone email and other communications.
- May attend contentious or high priority MLSS/SAT meetings with parents and/or guardians.
- Review all Level II to Level III referrals to ensure that MLSS/SAT process was utilized to include: researched based interventions and strategies service is in alignment with student need medical needs were met and urgent and obvious students are properly referred.
- Attend and engage in NMPED Point of Contact(POC) training as the LEA POC to maintain working knowledge of state expectations regarding MLSS and pass along information onto district school sites.
- Understand how to utilize the PLC process to support the MLSS/SAT process.
- Maintain district data based which houses MLSS/SAT documents (PowerSchool/Tie Net).
- Maintain and revise universal district-wide policies and protocols for the MLSS/SAT process to include universal form design universal district handbook and district-wide online document depository.
- Use researched based or state resources provided by NMPED that support remediation differentiation and enrichment student services.
- Access and provide data reports to all relevant stakeholders to support evidence base student referrals in the MLSS/SAT process.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES / WORKER TRAITS:
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain update and transfer confidential student information as required by FERPA guidelines.
- Ability to collaborate with district diagnosticians as part of the referral process and Review of Existing Evaluation Data (REED) alignment as it pertains to MLSS/SAT interventions.
- Must exercise initiative & judgment in performing job duties.
- Ability to advocate on behalf of students parents teachers and the school district.
- Must demonstrate strong written verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Must demonstrate a high level of competence in the instruction of adult learners.
