Job Description
Saratoga Medical has a Part-time (PRN) opening for a Medical Physicist to work at VA Medical Center. Position is 208 hours an annually. We offer a competitive salary and the wonderful opportunity to care for and provide services to our military members.
Performance Work Statement (PWS) Overview
- Provide on-site coverage for radiation oncology services.
- Conduct QA testing equipment calibration dosimetry and support.
- Follow standards of the American College of Radiology ASTRO and AAPM.
- Maintain consistent staffing and arrange replacements as needed.
- Detailed QA processes and performance expectations included.
Licensure & Certification:
- Must hold a Therapeutic Radiological Physicist license (any U.S. State Territory or DC).
- Must hold or obtain Florida licensure.
- Required: Certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Medical or Therapeutic Medical Physics.
Experience:
- Must have hands-on experience with: (Varian Linear Accelerators IGRT Eclipse & ARIA systems MapCheck 3 CT Simulator Superficial X-ray equipment.
- Must complete CEUs and VA-required training (HIPAA harassment suicide prevention etc.).
- Must pass required health screenings (TB MMR Varicella Influenza bloodborne pathogens).
