About the Role
As the Commercial Sales Manager youll be responsible for leading a team of quota-carrying Account Executives focused on driving new and expansion revenue within the SMB segment. While this is a full-time leadership role your onboarding will include a temporary immersion period where youll step into the AE role to gain firsthand experience with Canarys sales motion. This hands-on exposure will set the foundation for effective coaching performance management and team leadership. Your ability to drive performance develop talent and operate with a data-first mindset will be critical to success as we scale our sales team.
Responsibilities
Ramp up by completing AE onboarding and leading real sales opportunities in your first 60 days
Coach and mentor a team of AEs by jumping into calls guiding deal strategy and reinforcing best practices
Drive performance through effective sales management: one-to-ones pipeline reviews forecasting and quota tracking
Partner with Sales Enablement to identify skills gaps and run targeted training
Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline sales processes and remove blockers
Participate in AE hiring and onboarding to help grow and scale the team
Serve as a cultural leader and help build a high performance collaborative sales environment
Qualifications
2 years of experience managing teams of quota carrying AEs in a B2B SaaS environment
3 years of successful experience as a quota carrying AE ideally in SMB/MM SaaS
Strong familiarity with high-velocity transactional sales motions
Experience in hotel tech/hospitality tech is a huge plus
Data-drive approach to coaching and decision-making
Must be located in the DFW metroplex
Willingness to travel for work-related events as needed
