Lead Cake Decorator Blush Whisk
Part-Time to Full-Time Arlington TX $17$20/hr (Based on experience)
Blush Whisk is a modern dessert brand creating bold beautiful cakes and sweets for trend-forward customers and high-end events across DFW. Were looking for a Lead Cake Decorator whos more than just skilled with buttercream and fondantyoure the kind of person who takes ownership solves problems before they snowball and keeps the decorating process running smoothly from start to finish.
This is not just a decorating roleits a leadership position. Youll be expected to own the quality and pace of production train and oversee junior decorators and communicate clearly and promptly with the manager to make sure every cake leaves on time and on brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute buttercream and fondant designs with a high level of accuracy and finish
- Follow design briefs and customer orders with minimal oversight
- Maintain and update inventory of decorating tools toppers and ingredients
- Train and coach assistant decorators ensuring quality and consistency
- Maintain a clean organized and photo-ready decorating station
- Own the decorating production schedule ensuring all items are completed on time
Communicate immediately if delays issues or concerns arisewe value solutions not surprises
Requirements
- 2 years of professional cake decorating experience (portfolio required)
- Must be highly dependable detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Comfortable taking the lead solving problems on the fly and guiding others
- Able to lift 50 lbs stand for extended periods and work during event-heavy weekends
- Must be available for consistent shifts and committed to excellent attendance
- Strong communicator who values accountability and collaboration
