Job Description
Are you an expert in developing new test methods that replicate off-road vehicle use in the laboratory Do you enjoy performing RCAs designing test machines fixtures and correlating them to field data Are you passionate about working with your hands to help create new products Do others look to you to troubleshoot complex hardware and logic problems Are you an avid cyclist and an expert bike mechanic If you answer yes to these questions we want to talk to you!
HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Identify and mitigate areas of risk for new product by creating test plans or new methods when needed
Work closely with field quality and design teams to reduce warranty claims and Increase rider satisfaction
Create or purchase custom and often complex test equipment with custom control systems
Correlate test methods and standards across multiple vendors
Troubleshoot electromechanical systems for communication errors using both analog voltage and CAN bus
Train and mentor junior engineers
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
5-10 years experience in test development or data acquisition & analysis. Equivalent experience in FEA quality engineering or mechanical design engineering may be considered with appropriate hard skills. This is not a behind the desk job.
Track record of successfully applying DAQ and analysis with both hardware and software including accelerometers strain gauges potentiometers pressure sensors load cells Python MATLAB or equivalent.
Experience with test design and control. Labview Moog MTS or similar control systems.
Willingness to travel up to 6 times a year internationally and have a flexible work schedule to effectively collaborate with both teams in both Europe and Asia
Experience managing multiple conflicting priorities between design teams quality and project timelines
Proficient with fixture design and rapid prototyping including CAD GD&T and basic manual machining tools such as mill lathe etc.
PAY
Below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:
California Base Pay Range: ($99843 - 173728)
*At Specialized your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and will depend on your work experience skills certification and location.
