We have an opportunity for a Radiographer to join their team of staff in theImagingdepartment.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g. general X-rays theatre fluoroscopy mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols.
- Ensure high-quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis minimising the need for repeat exposures.
- Adapt techniques to meet the needs of individual patients including paediatrics bariatrics and patients with limited mobility
- Provide a safe dignified and person-centred service ensuring patients are informed comfortable and reassured throughout their examination.
- Monitor patients conditions during procedures and respond appropriately to any signs of deterioration.
- Ensure equipment is checked maintained and used safely and effectively reporting faults promptly.
- Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies techniques and digital systems (e.g. PACS RIS).
- Work closely with radiologists consultants nurses porters and admin teams to coordinate care efficiently and maintain smooth patient pathways.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
- HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
- Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.
- Good understanding of IR(ME)R health & safety infection control and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centred approach.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Postgraduate experience or additional training in a specialist area (e.g. CT MRI theatre imaging mammography) desirable.
