Details:
The structural design engineerwillassist the professional engineer in the design of structural steelconnections and miscellaneous/ornamentalmetals such as stair systems platform systems cladding supports formalreports to effectivelycommunicatedesignspecificationsand capacitiesto to be in conformance with the designs and communicatewiththe detailingteamwhat corrections or alterations are required to meet design maintaining projecttimelineseffective communication with piers and management on project status accurate technical reportingandproblem solving both fabrication and field items thatarisepost design.
PositionwillbelocatednearAkronOH.
EssentialFunctions:
- Performsengineering design andcalculations for structural steelconnections andmiscellaneous steel systems of various buildings structures and industries.
- Reviewbuildingdesignpackagetogatherrequiredinformationtoutilizeinthedelegateddesignpackage.
- Evaluatesdesignsforoveralleffectivenesscostreliabilityconstructabilityandsafety.
- AdheretoapplicableQualityControlprocedures.
- Reviewfabricationdrawingsforconformancetodesignspecifications.
- Provideaccurateprojectstatusreportingtofacilitateaccurate customerreporting.
- Assistinthedevelopmentofengineeringtoolsandprocesses.
- Reviewrequestsfor engineering services to determine that adequateinformation is provided to complete the service.
- Generaterequiredengineeringreportsanddrawingredlines.

JOBREQUIREMENTS
- BachelorsDegreeCivilEngineering(Structural Emphasis)
- LicensedProfessionalEngineerorcurrentlypursuing
- Experiencewithstructuraldesignsoftwareforconnectionsmiscellaneousmetalsandornamentalmetals
- ProficiencyinMicrosoftWordandExcel
- AcademicknowledgeofAutoCADSDS2and/orTekla
- 3-5 years of experience in delegated design and/or building design
Salary: $40/hr - $45/hr ($80000 - $90000)
