Meeting Street is currently looking for an Assistant Head of School for 40 per week.


Duties:

  • Assist in the leading the continued development of Meeting Streets school programs (jointly referred to as the School)
  • Manage the successful and efficient delivery of all educational instructional and related services provided by the School including but not limited to special and general education inclusion practices budgeting resource allocation etc.
  • Facilitates Evaluation and Individualized Education Plans (IEP) meetings
  • Take a leadership role in Response to Intervention (RtI) including identifying effective strategies and progress monitoring
  • Support monitor and expand the inclusive practices of The Grace School
  • In collaboration with the Director of Special Education and the Head of School oversee all school staff specifically teacher assistants including hiring performance appraisals coaching/development schedules assignments and termination
  • Coordinates state assessments as they pertain to students with special needs
  • Coordinates and oversees the Extended School Year Program including class assignments staffing units of study etc.

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in education with valid Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) Certification
  • Elementary/middle school administration certification through the RI Department of Education or the ability to obtain
