As a Corrections Counselor 1 you will provide professional counseling and casework management to an inmate caseload. You will interview inmates to facilitate their institutional adjustment provide assistance that resolves concerns with family problems and conflict resolution and assist with obtaining information regarding employment opportunities. You will develop maintain and present necessary records and reports for managing an inmate caseload. This role requires compassion and excellent communication skills to support compliance and behavioral change while utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach to coordinate treatment objectives seek guidance from members of psychological and medical staff and participate in parole and community re-entry planning.
