Job Description

Job Title: Locum Haematology/Blood Transfusion Biomedical Scientist
Location: Watford Hertfordshire
Banding: Band 6
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Rate: 26- 28 per hour
Working hours: Monday Friday 8am- 20:00pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Locum Haematology/Blood Transfusion Biomedical Scientist to join our clients team in Watford. This role is ideal for a dedicated and experienced professional looking to make a significant impact in the field of haematology and blood transfusion. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic services and ensuring the efficient operation of the laboratory.

Responsibilities:

The role involves performing a range of haematology and blood transfusion tests maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. The Biomedical Scientist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate results contributing to the effective treatment and care of patients. Duties also include troubleshooting equipment issues participating in quality control and assurance activities and staying updated with the latest developments in the field.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist
  • BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent
  • Significant experience in haematology and blood transfusion
  • Proficiency in using laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
