About the Role
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining strong client relationships through outbound sales efforts with a focus on growing accounts and identifying new business opportunities. This role includes occasional in-person meetings on-site visits and attendance at trade shows to support relationship-building and promote products within the manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts through communication and relationship-building
- Conduct outbound sales efforts to generate quotes and close orders
- Travel occasionally for in-person client meetings site visits or overnight trips as required
- Participate in trade shows and industry events to promote products and gather market insights
- Support pricing of custom or specialty products in collaboration with management
- Document all sales activities and maintain detailed records of customer interactions
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and lead generation
- Handle returns credits and order modifications to resolve customer issues promptly
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelors degree
- Minimum of two years of sales experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Publisher
- Excellent multitasking organizational and time management skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in distributor technical or construction-related sales
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes or industrial products
