Job Description
Bricks And Minifigs Metro East in Glen Carbon IL is looking for a Party Host and Retail Associate to join our team. Our ideal candidate has integrity is self-driven professional creative passionate punctual trustworthy reliable and excited about creating memorable experiences for guests who wants to work in a fun family-friendly environment. We are a buy sell trade store that encourages customers to reuse rebuild and reimagine.
Party Host responsibilities:
Assist with event setup including arranging tables and chairs decorations and equipment
Greet and direct guests upon arrival
Provide excellent customer service and address guest inquiries or concerns
Explain rules to party guests
Monitor event activities to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees
Assist with crowd control and maintain order during events
Adhere to the party schedule
Clean up activities set up throne and set up presents while guests serve and eat food
Clean up after events including removing trash and cleaning up spills
Retail Associate portion of the responsibilities:
Welcoming and engaging with customers as they enter the store
Assessing customers needs and suggesting solutions to their problems
Working with cash registers and processing payments
Giving customers advice about sales and promotions
Recommending the best products to customers
Cleaning and restocking the store throughout the day before opening and after closing
Cleaning sorting pricing and certifying product
Assisting in social media creation
Willingness to learn and grow within the buy-sell-trade business
Qualifications
Strong communication skills including public speaking and the ability to engage with diverse audiences
Previous experience in theater hospitality or customer service is preferred
Comfortable working with children and providing a positive experience for young attendees
Ability to maintain patience with difficult behaviors and customers
The ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances is essential.
Comprehensive understanding of the store products
Advanced customer service skills
Basic math skills
The ability to use a cash register
Strong level of professionalism at work
Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Proven work experience working as a Retail Associate or a similar role
Flexibility to work various shifts including specified holidays
