Catering Kitchen Assistant POSITION SUMMARY: The Catering Kitchen Assistant is responsible for assisting in the daily operations for the catering kitchen with Callies Hot Little Biscuit. This position also assists the production team making biscuits and other items along with working catering events. The ideal candidate will also assist in teaching biscuit making classes to clients. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Read follow and prepare recipes including biscuits according to company standards
- Prep menu items for catering events
- Cross-train on the production side to make biscuits cheese crisps and biscuit crackers
- Lead directives of execution on catering event days
- Assist execution on catering event days that may include working events
- Assist in teaching biscuit classes to clients
- Quality control on biscuits and production
- Receive & put away truck delivery orders
- Wash dishes; clean & sanitize equipment stations & storage areas
- Utilize end of day checklist to ensure kitchen is left in proper condition before leaving
- Assist in training new employees on baking techniques and cleaning procedures
- Follow all food safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES - High School or Equivalent degree required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in kitchen/catering baking or equivalent
- Drivers license required
- Excellent customer service/people skills in event settings and biscuit classes
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to promote a culture of gratitude
- Weekly schedule varies week to week. Weekend work will be required
- Ability to be flexible
