Licensed Veterinary Technician - Animal Care Center of Pahrump - $2000 Sign-On Bonus!

The hourly pay rate for this position is$25.00 - $35.00 per hour which varies depending on experience education certifications licensure and location.

Who Were Looking For
We are currently looking to hire a full-time or part-time Licensed Veterinary Technicianto join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used drawing blood and running bloodwork knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning experience with proper animal handling and restraint understanding the importance of client education and being a positive and motivating team member.

Requirements:
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (Required)
- Must be available to work (3) 10-hour shifts on Saturday-Monday
- 2 years of veterinary experience
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Knowledge of common treatments and processes normally found in a veterinary hospital setting
- Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories
- Assisting the doctor and other technical staff with surgeries
- Blood draws (cephalic and jugular)
- Placing IV catheters
- Digital radiology including positioning.
- Dentistry (digital x-rays scaling polishing)
- Anesthesia (induction intubation monitoring aseptic technique)
- Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology HM5 Vetscan Sedivue
- Excellent client communication/education
- Passion for working with animals and their owners

Qualifications
Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT RVT or LVT) preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
A degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program is preferred but not .
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians with exams treatments and surgical procedures.
Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean organized work environment.
