TITLE: High School Choral Director (BHS)
FUNCTION:To provide instruction practice and supervision of High School students in chorusand be directly responsible to thebuilding principal.
DUTIES:
1. To provide instruction practice and supervision for student in an after school choral
program.
2. To be responsible for choral preparation for the performance of the chorus in concerts
appearances and recitals.
3. To be present at all functions and performances requiring the presence of choral students.
4. To offer after school instruction at least one afternoon each week.
5. Adheres to the adopted policies of the Bellingham School Committee.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Preferably a member of theHighSchool teaching staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge of the various styles of choral music.
2. Ability to select choral music appropriate to the range of middle school voices.
3. Ability to provide students with an appreciation of choral music.
4. Ability to train students in a variety of choral voices.
5. Ability to organize and supervise students in an after school program.
