Role description:

We are now recruiting talented individuals to fill our current vacancy for Design Engineer Electrical to work on our projects in Bangalore Mumbai Hyderabad and Noida

To be considered for a role we are seeking candidates with the following credentials.

Job Title: Design Engineer Electrical (US water)

Role Objectives:

• To assist in the delivery of selected projects (or parts of projects) meeting budgetary quality and timeframe and quality targets meeting or exceeding client expectations
• To contribute towards the achievement of the sector/discipline business plan
• To build and consolidate networks within the Water industry.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

• Performing required activities associated with projects (investigation analysis and design) in line with client and ARCADIS specifications national standards and codes of practice.
• Preparing and registering all relevant documentation and design reports and ensuring that all documentation is current accurate and in compliance with ARCADIS requirements.
• Contributing to the resolution of technical issues on projects and providing technical guidance to less experienced team members
• Gaining awareness of and familiarity with the commercials aspects of projects to develop commercial skills.
• Working towards Chartership or relevant professional accreditation
• Being familiar with and compliant with relevant H & S regulations and to promote a culture of awareness within the team.
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager.

Skills & experience:

• Knowledge of code & standards and practices related to water industry
• Proven design experience; including concept preliminary detailed construction phases
• Has thorough technical knowledge of
  • Lighting calculations and design
  • Low voltage power distribution
  • Earthing and bonding systems
  • Cable systems and containment
  • Lightning Protection system design
  • Cable sizing and short circuit calculations
  • Uninterrupted power supplies
  • Familiar with ETAP SKM DIALUX softwares. Should be able to carry out following studies independently
    • Cable sizing calculations
    • Voltage drop calculations
    • Short circuit studies
    • Arc Flash studies
    • Relay coordination and Discrimination studies
    • Earthing and bonding
    • Lighting design.
  • Preparation and checking of technical specifications design basis reports etc.
  • Familiar with American standards NFPA IEEE and IEC standards related to Water Industry.
  • Experience within a consultancy environment specifically extended office of lead business.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language with good report writing analytical and computer skills.
  • Ability to think in an innovative manner.

Qualification & Experience:

• B.E / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.
• 5 Years experience in design of Electrical systems associated with Infra Business.
