10The Role: The Senior Price Reporter is a journalist and pricing specialist covering Platts widely-used suite of Fertecon-branded spot prices news and analysis about the global minerals and fertilizer markets.
Responsibilities:The Senior Price Reporter is responsible for establishing market coverage on global minerals and fertilizer markets reporting on daily and weekly physical trading activity. The reporter will write commentaries explaining the trends driving prices create news stories and participate in multi-media coverage such as webinars and presentations including representing Platts at industry events.
The Senior Price Reporter will engage with market participants while building and managing a database of industry contacts identify opportunities to refine methodology and launch new price assessments to advance growth in the global Minerals & Fertilizer team be responsible for emerging benchmark development demonstrate successful coverage of existing commodities markets and exhibit proven project leadership in relevant initiatives.

You will also have the chance to represent CI in face-to-face meetings webinars podcasts or other interviews.
You will assist in identifying developing and executing assessment opportunities to drive growth in EMEA Minerals & Fertilizer and related markets.
Your Skills:
BA degree or higher
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of role types and personalities both internally and externally
Self-starter mindset with effective problem-solving skills
Ability to perform well under tight deadlines
Excellent English writing skills
Culturally and socially sensitive
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven price reporting experience in the minerals and fertilizer sector
Experience or knowledge of the minerals and fertilizer sector is highly beneficial but can be taught on the job
Keen interest in commodities and global commodity markets
Knowledge of economic principles
Strong numeracy skills including the ability to understand the basic principles of statistics and to apply basic math functions in Excel
Fluency in relevant international languages is an advantage
