Help build on and maintain the LEGO Groups status as a trusted leader in childrens rights.
This role will be instrumental in supporting the LEGO Groups strategic commitments towards Childrens Rights and Business Principles.
No relocation assistance is offered for this position.
Lead the maintenance and implementation of the LEGO Group Child Safeguarding Policy and corresponding processes in line with local and global best practice and legislation. Ensure child safeguarding practices are embedded across the business and in all events and projects.
Provide subject matter expertise across the business on child safeguarding.
Conduct child safeguarding risk assessments and reviews alongside the business to proactively identify and mitigate child safeguarding risks.
Develop and deliver child safeguarding training including addressing the specific risks and needs associated with different areas of the business.
Investigate and respond to child safeguarding incidents ensuring timely and appropriate action is taken.
Build and maintain relationships with key child rights organisations and partners to share best practice and advocate for childrens rights.
Provide input into the implementation of our child engagement policy.
Support teams across the business to engage children in their work and provide supporting evidence and expertise of the benefits of engaging with children.
The Child Rights and Safety team sets the strategic direction for the LEGO Groups work with childrens rights and responsible engagement with children offline as well as online. The team leads strategic child rights and safety initiatives and oversees the Digital Child Safety and Child Safeguarding policies. The position will report to the Director and Head of Child Rights and Safety.
Strong subject matter expertise and track record of working within child safeguarding incident management due diligence child development and childrens rights for a global brand or organization.
In-depth experience within the child safeguarding sphere completing safeguarding assessments event risk assessments creating and delivering training and managing safeguarding incident response.
Knowledge and experience in relation to child engagement participation or inclusion for business or other organizations.
Independent solution seeker with can do and pragmatic attitude. Ability to work well under pressure and where required make decisions quickly.
Self-starter result oriented and experienced project manager. A team player with a strategic mindset.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in both spoken and written English is a requirement.
