Key Responsibilities

As the Bookkeeper you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization by ensuring accurate timely and compliant recordkeeping. Your responsibilities will include:

Day-to-Day Accounting Operations:

Record and reconcile daily transactions including accounts payable accounts receivable bank transactions and general ledger entries.

Ensure accuracy of all financial data to support effective financial planning and reporting.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and reports.

Support internal and external audits by maintaining clear organized documentation and ensuring adherence to financial regulations and standards.

Expense and Budget Management:

Monitor expenses assist in budget tracking and identify variances or discrepancies.

Liaise with department leads to provide budget insights and cost control recommendations.

System Optimization & Support:

Utilize accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Sage or similar platforms) to streamline workflow.

Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and implement best practices.

Collaborative Financial Coordination:

Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders including vendors consultants and tax professionals.

Ensure smooth financial operations by providing timely and accurate information to decision-makers.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate the following:

Education & Experience:

A diploma or degree in Accounting Finance or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Minimum 35 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience ideally within a professional services or consulting environment.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Sage or equivalent.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Key Competencies:

Exceptional attention to detail accuracy and organizational skills.

A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
