Title: Best Buddies Advisor
Duties:
The Best Buddies Advisor will support the mission of Best Buddies International by ... establishing ...a volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships integrated employment leadership development and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The advisor will organize events and opportunities for students to develop friendships and engage in social activities throughout the school year.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to provide an environment suitable for best buddies club.
- Ability to manage student behaviors in after school setting.
- Assume total responsibility for the accuracy of all attendance records during this period.
- Assume responsibility for related duties that may be assigned by the building principal.
- Adheres to the adopted policies of the Bellingham School Committee.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in classroom management.
- Preferably a member of the High School teaching staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Dedication to the service of youth.
- Demonstrated ability to relate favorably with staff and students.
