Job Description
Description
The Field Service Engineer will manage troubleshoot and correct incidents and problems associated with customer site equipment including national and international systems. This includes all associated edge/core site equipment and cabled infrastructures. Specific duties include the following:
- Providing support as required to install activate and/or transition networking equipment such as network switches routers and encryption devices
- Assisting engineering staff members in design fabrication integration and testing of electronic circuits cables and mounting equipment in support of field upgrades and installations
- Performing on-site installation troubleshooting and testing of company products and equipment
- Providing technical support to customers and deployed teams on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment
- Developing SOVT test procedures test plans test reports and procedures to maintain lab facilities and calibrate test equipment as needed supporting engineering tests and detailed experimental testing
- Conducting site surveys and support the development of installation packages as needed in support of infrastructure upgrade efforts
- Installing programing and troubleshooting Type 1 Bulk encryptors such as KG-175Gs Deltas and Alphas Raytheon KG-345/350s
- Maintaining a valid passport and willing to do short duration travel for up to 50% of the entire year (nonconsecutive)

Requirements
- 5 years experience integrating enterprise networks in DOD Facilities
- BICSI certification in relevant field
- Proficient in Outside/Inside Plant cable design install and maintenance

Clearance Information
SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL
