We are looking for a QC Inspector to join our GT Aero team in Aberdeen.
Are you detail-focused and passionate about engineering quality Join our expert GT Aero team in Aberdeen where youll play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of our gas turbine overhaul and inspection operations. Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Perform bulk and detail strip inspections of gas turbines and provide comprehensive defect reports
- Carry out stage inspections during engine builds to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Maintain and control workshop Control Order Files and associated documentation
- Ensure all measuring equipment is calibrated certified and aligned with Quality Management System requirements
- Assist with shipping and receipt of materials to and from approved vendors expediting sub-con activities efficiently
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar inspection or mechanical quality role ideally within a gas turbine environment
- Proven ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and illustrated parts catalogues
- Working knowledge of industrial or power gas turbines and associated components
- A minimum of NC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; HNC is preferred (or suitable proven experience in lieu of formal qualifications)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively with workshop and quality teams

The team in Aberdeen works on the inspection repair and overhaul of advanced gas turbine systems providing critical support to energy and industrial sectors globally. Our facility is part of Sulzers global rotating equipment services network.
