ANTICIPATED OPENINGS
TITLE: Title I Mathematics Tutors
Anticipated openings at Stall Brook Elementary School and Bellingham Memorial School for the 2025-2026 school year (number of tutors TBD by available grant funding)
19.5 hours/week subject to grant funding (number of weeks TBD by available grant funding)
One-year only positions - Funding through the 2025-2026 Title I Grant
POSITION SUMMARY:
To providesmall group in-class and out-of-class instruction in Mathematics
DUTIES:
1. Assess document and instruct students according to diagnosed needs in Mathematics
2. Instruct students in Mathematics content strategies and skills
3. Document student progress toward improving their MCAS performance
4. Administer Mathematics assessments
5. Attend Title I staff meetings and Title I parent meetings/workshops as necessary
6. Responsible for creating progress reports helping with student assessments maintaining student data and assisting the Title I Mathematic s Lead Teacher as needed
7. Evaluateand suggest appropriate materials/programs/apps needed for the Title I school-wide program
8. Incorporate availabletechnology (such as Ipads) in tutoring sessions and be responsible for the upkeep and safety of that available technology
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience teaching Mathematics at K-6 level in accordance withthe MA CurriculumFrameworks preferred
2. Understandingof or experience using rubrics and standards-based units of instructionpreferred
3. Completed at least two years of study at an institutionof higher education obtained at least an associate degree or meet a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate knowledge of and ability in instruction in Math or Math readiness
SALARY:$30 per hour up to 19.5 hours per week subject to grant funding (number of weeks TBD based on available grant funding)
