Role/ Department: Litigation Support Analyst/Litigation Investigations and Regulatory Enforcement
The Litigation Support Analyst role provides an excellent opportunity to bring research data and technology skills together to support and expand the data research and collection function within Northern Trusts Legal Department. The Litigation Investigations and Regulatory Enforcement attorneys and paralegals are responsible for timely and accurately responding to a variety of sensitive subpoenas and other legal process including requests from law enforcement. Day to day the Litigation Support Analyst will be responsible supporting this function by searching bank systems to identify client relationships accounts and transactions that are the subject of legal process timely providing accurate results to the requesting attorney or paralegal and gathering documentation as requested to enable attorneys and paralegals to respond to legal process. The Litigation Support Analyst will also build subject matter expertise as he or she identifies and learns new systems containing financial data and information to further support department objectives and presents an opportunity for a motivated and proactive individual to make significant contributions to the Legal Department.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Learn and understand banking and financial data (as well as the flow of that information) and technical steps to research and retrieve client account data.
Work independently and within small teams of attorneys and paralegals to manage an array of time sensitive and confidential matters.
Clearly and accurately summarize research findings for attorneys and paralegals.
Analyze imaged records from a variety of repositories for responsiveness to legal process.
Identify research escalate and help to resolve gaps in understanding of systems holding client account information and banking data.
Proactively seek opportunities to refine and enhance knowledge of systems and data to shore up any identified gaps in the information gathering process.
Represent Legal on a variety of data-driven projects working with system owners to ensure a complete and accurate understanding of bank systems and data across the organization.
Document process flows and steps so they can be repeated with consistency and accuracy.
Act as first point of reference for day-to-day queries and serve as a liaison in related areas.
Under attorneys or managers supervision assist with a variety of data process flow and data mapping tasks to enhance data knowledge.
Skills/ Qualifications:
2 years experience in a professional setting required; 5 years experience in a professional setting preferred.
Professional experience in a technology forward or data driven role.
Familiarity and comfort with learning and using new technology databases and applications with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy professionalism and client-service orientation.
Proven ability to work independently and solve problems with minimum supervision.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be a solution-oriented professional with a focus on problem solving and collaboration as a key member of a cross-functional team.
Ability to adapt to daily activities that may be presented as rush requests.
Basic knowledge of banking systems or operations preferred.
Working Model: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid)

Salary Range:
$67500 to $111500 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension) health and welfare benefits (medical dental vision spending accounts and disability) paid time off parental and caregiver leave life & accident insurance and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
