SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER ABA ClassroomThe Marblehead School District is seeking highly qualified applicants for full-time special education teachers of students with Mild/Moderate/Severe Disabilities at Marblehead High School. Teachers in this classroom will be expected to support students across multiple grade levels with the support of other special education teachers tutors behavior specialists school adjustment counselors and other support staff. The ideal candidate is flexible responsible and organized and has experience working with students with a wide range of learning needs. In addition has a versatile skill set and a willingness to proactively look for ways to support both teachers and students. We are looking for a team player who is compassionate supporting and caring toward students. This is a Unit A Teacher position; compensation in accordance with a collectively bargained Responsibilities:Develop and implement lessons that reinforce positive student behavior and exhibit appropriate elements of differentiation and universal design for and implement class-wide positive behavioral supportsProvide instruction in inclusion or sub-separate settings that incorporate evidence-based instruction with access to all general education curriculumWork closely and collaboratively with related service providers program consultants and general education teachers in order to provide students with a comprehensive educational program including appropriate maintenance of student recordsEnsure the rights of students with disabilities to be full participants in the general curriculumAssess curriculum and instruction for cultural biasesWrite and implement IEPs including completion of appropriate evaluationsSupervise and support educational support professionals as they implement instructional methodologiesImplement standardized evaluation toolsCollect and maintain data on student academic and social growth
