The AWS Global Network Deployment (GND) team is searching for a passionate and talented technical infrastructure program manager (TIPM) to drive Data Center and Network Capacity deployment efficiencies. You will assess the demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and drive prime solutions for our customers. You will work with stakeholders to complete pre-requisites necessary to deliver critical networking capacity. You will lead programs with goals to improve infrastructure resource utilization and availability. You will work with teams across the AWS Organization to effectively plan and deliver data center capacity.

Key job responsibilities
- delivers monitors optimizes and enhances process efficiency spanning across programs in AWS Data Center (DC) new launches and expansions.
- demonstrates depth in project management knowledge areas alongwith breadth in technical disciplines as networking (LAN and WAN) cabling infrastructure cloud compute and storage.
- own the complete DC program lifecycle from intake plan install deploy till operations handoff.
- is customer obsessed and delivers high quality defect-free deployments while able to balance necessary trade-offs between scopetime and cost.
- able to document and review standard operating procedures (SOP) playbooks product features quality check parameters lessons learned retrospectives.
- have an eye for detail in existing process flows and drives incremental continuous improvement across program milestones with help of scalable data-driven improvement/automated solutions.
- engage with key internal/external stakeholders (vendor management/sourcing/planning & infrastructure delivery builders/senior management) to define requirements and processes.
- updates stakeholders by sharing program health status periodic reports program risk register program trends lessons learned and any other document expected.
- Meets/exceeds Amazons leadership principles requirements for this role.

- 3 years of project/program management experience in IT Infrastructure.
- Fundamental understanding of Data Center IT Infrastructure technologies spanning across networkingcomputestoragevirtualization and cabling standards alongwith best practices and emerging technologies related to IT infrastructure.
- Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds as net new vs expansions.
- Able to write clear and detailed functional specifications as well as experience working with or managing technical portfolios programs or projects.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging at both the technical and executive levels.
- Makes optimal tradeoffs between schedule resources and scope and applies advanced technical and business knowledge to address major risks challenges and obstacles.
- Anticipates identifies and drives resolution of technical challenges and interdependencies to prevent downstream problems.
- Self-motivated problem solver and able to thrive in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment adapts to change quickly.
- Direct experience with the deployment of AWS network cabling and infrastructure.
- Strong listening skills and demonstrated ability to ask effective questions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
