Unless required by legislation or union contract starting salary will be the salary of salary range 32 (step 1 $29.23 per hour) associated with this position.

DCYs core hours of operation are Mon-Fri from 8:00am to 5:00pm however daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across DCY divisions. Employees may begin as early as 7:00am & as late as 9:00am based on supervisory approval. This position performs work on-site daily at DCYs office space.
Selection devices such as a structured interview proficiency instrument &/or assessment may be required for this position; Applicants must demonstrate proficiency with a passing score of applicable selection device to be considered for this position. All results will be maintained for 6 months. Applicant with a passing score will be retained & utilized for a 6-month period. Applicant with a failing score in the same position may not re-take the same selection device for a 6-month period.

Position Overview
As an EDS at DCY youll play a key role in shaping the agencys visual identity. Under general supervision youll create compelling designs that enhance both internal and external communications. If youre passionate about branding digital design and multimedia creation this role will allow you to leverage your creativity in a meaningful way.
Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design & Visual Communications (75%)
- Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud tools (InDesign Photoshop Illustrator) to develop digital and print materials.
- Design for web and printincluding executive presentations event materials and agency newsletters.
- Develop layouts for both internet and intranet webpages incorporating human interface and multimedia design.
- Ensure consistency in branding across digital and print communications.
- Video production.
Printing & Distribution Coordination (20%)
- Partner with DAS State Printing to oversee production and distribution of marketing materials.
- Conduct proof reviews manage printing logistics and coordinate delivery of materials to agencies.
- Assist with event coordination and image scanning for agency-wide use.
Administrative & Other Duties (5%)
- Attend meetings training sessions and conferences to stay informed on industry trends.
- Maintain project records logs and documentation for creative assets.

This role requires both technical expertise and creative vision. Youll work closely with various teams to ensure marketing materials align with DCYs goals. Expect a mix of independent projects and collaborative efforts balancing design with strategic planning.

36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in electronic graphic design; 12 mos. exp. with hyper-text markup language for website/web page design &/or development.
-Or completion of associate core program in graphic visual communication technology or multimedia production technology; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in website/web page creation design &/or development.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in visual communications with emphasis on graphic design/industrial design &/or fine arts; 24 mos. trg. or 24 mos. exp. in website/web page creation design &./or development.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
