Rebar Bender/Chesapeake

Coastal Precast System is seeking a skilled and reliableRebar Benderto join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting bending and shaping rebar and other reinforcing materials according to project specifications. This role is essential to ensuring the strength and structural integrity of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications to determine rebar requirements
• Cut and bend rebar to required shapes using hand tools cutting machines and bending machines
• Measure mark and layout rebar patterns
• Ensure rebar is fabricated accurately and safely according to project standards
• Load unload and organize rebar for easy access and minimal waste
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisor

Qualifications:

• Preferredexperience in rebar bending fabrication or steel fixing preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and bar bending schedules
• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and repetitive tasks
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions
• Strong understanding of construction site safety standards
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
