DescriptionThe Resideo HSE Manager is responsible for developing implementing and overseeing health safety and environmental programs within the Resideo-Golden Valley facility ensuring compliance with regulations conducting regular inspections and audits training employees on safety procedures investigating incidents and promoting a proud safety culture across all operations to prevent accidents and minimize environmental impact;actively identify and mitigate risks to protect employee health and the environment.
JOB DUTIES:
- Policy Development and Implementation: Creating and maintaining comprehensive HSE policies procedures and standards aligned with industry regulations and company/site goals
- Risk Assessment and Management: Conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards prioritize risks and develop preventative measures
- Site Inspection & Audits: Performing routine inspections of work areas to identify HSE non-compliance issues conduct thorough audits to evaluate HSE performance and follow up on corrective actions
- Incident Investigation: Investigating all HSE incidents near misses and accidents to determine root causes implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence
- Employee Training: Delivering comprehensive HSE training programs to all employees covering topics such as safety procedures emergency response hazard recognition and regulatory compliance
- Emergency Preparedness: Developing and practicing emergency response plans including drills and evacuation procedures
- Communication and Awareness: Actively promoting a safety culture through communication channels like meetings safety posters and employee feedback mechanisms
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensuring adherence to all applicable HSE regulations permits and standards by monitoring activities and reporting non-compliance issues
- Collaboration with Departments:Working closely with other departments to integrate HSE considerations into daily operations and project planning
- Reporting and Data Analysis:Tracking HSE performance metrics analyzing incident data and generating reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Direct Report Supervision:Provide guidance/mentoring to HSE Engineer. Set goals and evaluate job performance. Assign work tasks as appropriate
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 8 years of HSE professional experience with a sound understanding of HSE principles regulations and best practices
- 2 years serving as a leader or supervisor with direct report(s)
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and incident investigations
- A Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Safety Management Professional (SMP) certification
WE VALUE:
- Proficient HSE compliance and management systems experience
- Additional HSE certifications preferred (CIH CHMM etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage employees
- Proficient analytical skills to identify trends and implement preventive measures
- Extensive experience in delivery & continuous improvement of HSE Services while demonstrating progressive leadership
- Experience implementing ISO 14001 or equivalent certified management systems
- Leadership abilities to help guide direct report and promote a positive safety culture
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
