Boeing Defence United Kingdom LimitedBoeing Defence UK (BDUK) is seeking a Logistic Support Analyst to join the Product Support team.
Reporting to the Product Support Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive Level of Repair Analysis (LoRA) to determine the most cost-effective and efficient repair strategies for various aircraft systems and components. The role involves analysing maintenance options whilst taking into consideration multiple factors such as; human resource skill levels available and approved repair facilities complexity of repairs material and spares support to provide the most optimal component recovery decision.
This role is critical in optimising maintenance processes reducing downtime and ensuring the reliability of our products.
This position will execute against programme requirements with a Safety and First Time Quality mind-set working within an integrated team environment.

In this role you will:
Conduct LoRA Studies:
Assist in conducting reviews of Maintenance Task Analysis documentation and Vendor data to undertake a program specific LoRA.
Analysing and evaluating maintenance options to recommend the most appropriate maintenance strategy whether its to replace repair or discard an asset considering operational requirements and cost.
Considering the resources needed like specialised tools equipment and skilled personnel to perform each repair.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Exploit existing usage data and analytics tools to determine attrition rates and failure causes.
Analyse vendor repair reports and fault investigation conclusions.
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering teams to understand product specifications and operational requirements.
Collaborate with Reliability and Maintainability to share in-service data against component and system performance.
Compliment Reliability Centred Maintenance system reviews to optimise the system availability and recoverability.
Participate in reviews both internally and externally with the customer. You will also be required to maintain document configuration data files and archives.
Cost-Benefit Analysis:
Evaluating the costs associated with each repair option including personnel costs materials transportation and facility usage.
Provide feedback to supply chain and procurement for LoRA decisions.
Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of LoRA studies methodologies and outcomes.
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as AS1390A and regulations related to maintenance and repair practices.
Feedback and Improvement:
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance integrated support processes.
Support the development of tools and templates to improve the LoRA review process.
Training and Support:
Using specialist repair analysis knowledge to inform and support the wider ILS functions within a Product Support Engineering environment.

This role may require some travel to Boeing US and UK Customer sites to support repair and overhaul activity.
The preferred candidate will have most of the following with some considered essential:
Essential Skills Qualifications and Experience:
Eligibility for UK SC Security Clearance: Applicants must be able to obtain the necessary clearance.
Maintenance and Engineering Expertise: Strong professional background in aerospace maintenance and engineering with proven experience in practical application.
Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and data analytics.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desirable Skills qualification and experience
Defence Industry Familiarity (Preferred): Experience in a defence-related environment is advantageous but not essential.
Commitment to Quality: Proven track record of driving first-time quality in engineering outputs.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite particularly MS Excel and Opus/EDCAS software.
Educational Qualifications: Ideally educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline and/or formally trained in support engineering principles.
Certification in Reliability Engineering Maintenance or Supply Chain Management.
Proven experience in LoRA or a similar role within the aerospace defence or manufacturing industries
Previous experience liaising with internationally located Teams including Design Organisation (DO) interface.
Knowledge of maintenance management systems and methodologies is a plus.
