JOB DESCRIPTION
Terms:
Full-Time
4 months (with the possibility of extension)
Specific Duties:
Create a positive welcoming and inclusive environment conducive to active and participatory learning resource-based instructional practices for all students and staff in our Learning Commons.
Work collaboratively and cooperatively in curricula development with all faculty
Remain current in professional practices information technologies and educational research
Set and manage the library budget
Select quality resources and manage collections that support the curriculum and student learning and literacy
Collaborate with departments throughout the Middle & Senior Schools to build connection between classroom learning and library resources
Lead the implementation of the schools Academic Integrity Policy
Have a strong working understanding of differentiated instruction as it applies to teaching in an all-boys school
Have a strong working knowledge of current pedagogy sound assessment practices and learning empowered by technology
Extra-Curricular:
Demonstrated commitment to any required co-curricular endeavors is an expectation.
Priority Consideration will be given to candidates who possess the following:
Diploma in teacher-librarianship from a reputable institution
Current pastoral reference confirming that he/she is a practicing Roman Catholic
Salary Range : $67000-$111000 per annum (pro-rated initially over 4 months) dependent on experience and qualifications.
