Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated detail-orientedMedical Assistantto join our healthcare team. This role combines clinical support with front-office administrative responsibilities to ensure a seamless patient experience and efficient practice operations. The ideal candidate is personable organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
- Assist healthcare providers with scheduling and orders
- Coordinate care and ancillary services for provider
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system
- Ensure providers have appropriate materials supplies and are prepared for their visits
Administrative Duties:
- Greet and take calls for clinic communicate with patients; verify insurance and collect co-pays
- Schedule appointments procedures and follow-ups
- Answer phones respond to patient inquiries and route calls appropriately
- Process medical records referrals and prior authorizations
- Handle billing and coding support as needed
- Order office and medical supplies
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative training a plus
- 12 years of experience in a medical office or clinic setting preferred
- Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g. Epic Athena eClinicalWorks)
- Excellent communication customer service and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask prioritize and work independently or as part of a team
