Job Description
Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies series documentaries and live sports including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV Max Crunchyroll and MGM. All customers regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.
As a Prime Video technologist youll have end-to-end ownership of the product user experience design and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. Youll get to work on projects that are fast-paced challenging and varied. Youll also be able to experiment with new possibilities take risks and collaborate with remarkable people.
Prime Video is looking for a world-class product leader to own and drive the strategy for our 1P and 3P subscription products. You will work with a dynamic set of global stakeholders to launch delightful customer experiences for customers in over 200 countries where Prime Video is live.
As a Principal Product Manager Tech you will own defining and executing a customer-centric product vision working backwards from a clear experience North Star. You will conceptualize implement and refine solutions that elevate customer outcomes. Your ability to balance short-term execution with long-term strategic thinking coupled with our skill in building consensus across diverse stakeholders will be pivotal to your success.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop a North Star vision and strategy for monetizing PV subscription products and delighting customers
- Provide strategic direction and influence org priorities
- Lead roadmap planning and oversee execution of all aspects of implementation of your products
- Work across multiple organizations to align on and achieve objectives
A day in the life
- You will work with Product Engineering UX and Business teams from initiation to deployment and will be responsible delivering best-in-class experiences to customers
- You must have strong business judgment customer obsession and be technical. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategy but can also roll up your sleeves and get the job done.
- You will deliver recommendations to senior executives and drive alignment across levels functions and organizations
- 2 years of end to end product delivery experience
- 4 years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelors degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
