Job Description
We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing new features and functionality establishing and guiding the websites architecture and ensuring high-performance and availability. Youll be working closely with our design and content teams to ensure a robust and seamless user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new features and functionalities in WordPress.
- Ensure high-performance and manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure an effective visually appealing and intuitive implementation.
- Create and maintain documentation of website architecture and workflow.
- Conduct website performance tests and optimize for speed.
- Maintain a secure and up-to-date website.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer.
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript jQuery.
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites.
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug Chrome inspector etc.
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON XML).
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field or comparable work experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with e-commerce platforms especially WooCommerce.
- Familiarity with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields).
- Understanding of SEO principles.
- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working WordPress pages.
