Job Description
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Manage transportation bookings from inquiry to completion
- Identifying and eliciting new client opportunities
- Provide rate quotes to clients for services
- Conduct presentations in client-facing and carrier-facing meetings
- Perform client interactions like prospecting qualifying cold calling negotiating and closing deals
- Build wide and effective networks of contacts inside and outside the organization
- Work productively in a pressurized environment
- Keep up to date with market trends; controls costs and thinks in terms of profit loss and added value
- Tracking and providing back-up to the transportation team
Qualifications :
WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR
- Previous logistics broker background
- Knowledge of the trucking industry and market
- Ability to provide transportation sales training to brokers
- Enjoys working towards goals and objectives in a competitive environment
- High-level customer service skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong numeracy skills
