OVERVIEW
The Product Designer contributes to the UI/UX design of one or more SVG products working collaboratively with product managers engineers and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of design solutions. You will play a critical role in shaping the design of our products and contributing to design excellence within the organization.
Candidates must currently be in the Kansas City area and be able to work hybrid in our office in downtown Kansas City. We are unable to sponsor for this role this includes candidates with their OPT or EAD.
REPORTS TO
The Product Designer reports to the Manager Product Design in the Enterprise Portfolio & Product Management (EPPM) department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The essential duties for this role include but are not limited to:
- Conduct user research: Plan and execute user research activities including usability testing surveys and user interviews to understand personas user flows and journey maps
- Advocate for the user experience: Champion user-centered design principles in daily work promoting empathy and user focus in design decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional delivery teams: Work closely with product managers engineers and strategy teams to ensure alignment between business goals user needs and technical feasibility while supporting projects through delivery
- Partner with stakeholders: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand user needs document requirements and communicate design decisions
- Develop UI prototypes: Create interactive prototypes and wireframes using Figma and other industry tools to communicate design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders
- Contribute to design systems: Help develop and maintain UI style guides and design systems to ensure consistency across all products
- Support design strategy & operations: Contribute to the organizational design system design principles and processes under the guidance of the Product Design Manager
- Stay current with industry trends: Analyze user data feedback performance metrics competitors and industry trends to recommend improvements to the user experience

Qualifications :
Education:
- Bachelors Degree; or relevant work experience
- 3 years relevant work experience
- Must include a portfolio link on your resume for consideration
Skills/Specialties:
- Proficient in developing design systems
- Modeling wireframing prototyping software (i.e. Figma Lucidchart etc)
- Proficient in understanding a variety of agile methodologies (i.e. Scrum Kanban).
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving.
- Detail oriented
