Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager with a focus in water/wastewater infrastructure design and in-depth design engineering experience in municipal conveyance treatment and pumping systems in our Houston TX office.
This role offers an opportunity to progress down the project management career path with a focus on client business growth project delivery leadership and mentoring of engineering staff by leveraging top notch regional and national water/wastewater engineering expertise and capabilities. The appropriately qualified applicant will have the opportunity to manage and work with an established team of professional engineers on a variety of water wastewater and conveyance design projects.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Serves as Project Manager on medium to large water/wastewater treatment plants and pump station projects
- Prepares technical memoranda planning studies and final design calculations plans and specifications
- Provides technical direction and mentorship for junior staff
- Coordinates with other discipline leads clients consultants and agencies in management and implementation of projects
- Participates all aspects of project delivery including scope schedule finance and quality
- Builds and maintain relationships with clients and industry professionals
- Assists in identifying opportunities development of proposals and statement of qualifications
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS and 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8 years of water infrastructure design experience
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil or Environmental Engineering or able to obtain licensure within 6 months
- Experience working on municipal projects
- Masters degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
