Job Description

Honda of Libertyville is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our service team. As an Automotive Technician you will be responsible for diagnosing repairing and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes tire rotations and brake inspections in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on vehicles including engine transmission suspension and HVAC systems.
Conduct vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
Utilize diagnostic equipment tools and technical manuals to troubleshoot and resolve complex automotive problems.
Complete service and repair tasks efficiently and accurately to meet customer expectations and dealership standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to provide updates on repair progress and recommendations for future maintenance.
Adhere to dealership policies procedures and safety regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of automotive technical training program or apprenticeship preferred.
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as an Automotive Technician in a dealership or automotive repair facility.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various vehicle systems.
Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic equipment hand tools and service manuals.
ASE certification or manufacturer-specific certifications (Honda preferred) is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Valid drivers license and clean driving record required.
