The Software Engineer works with a team of other software engineers systems analysts and operations specialists to design implement and deploy software solutions that meet customer requirements scale efficiently overcome the limitations of traditional billing systems and support deployment in highly available and mission-critical telecom environments. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing complex backend systems that handle customer billing rating and account processing in a high-volume high-availability environment. You will work with a mix of legacy and modern technologies including C/C Java Oracle PL/SQL and Unix/Linux scripting.

Job Responsibilities:
Technical Engineering Services
Design develop and maintain components of a high-volume telecom-grade billing system.
Analyze and implement complex business rules related to customer invoicing rating and account management.
Write efficient and maintainable code in C/C Java and Shell Scripting within a Unix/Linux environment.
Develop and optimize PL/SQL queries and stored procedures for large-scale Oracle databases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support batch processing job scheduling and system integrations.
Perform root cause analysis and debug issues in a production environment involving high-throughput data pipelines.
Contribute to the modernization of legacy code by refactoring or wrapping core functionality with new APIs.
Participate in code reviews system testing and performance tuning to ensure reliability and scalability.
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and operational procedures.
Technical Leadership
Collaborates with technical teams and utilizes system expertise to deliver technical solutions.
Continuously learns new technologies.
Technical Writing
Writes basic documentation on how technology works. Contributes clear documentation for new code and systems used.
Documenting systems designs presentations and business requirements for consumption at the engineer level.

Education and Required Work Experience:
Bachelors Degree Computer Science or Engineering
2 years Technical engineering experience.
Strong experience in telecom billing systems or large-scale enterprise billing platforms.
Proficiency in C/C Java and Unix/Linux shell scripting.
Hands-on expertise with Oracle SQL PL/SQL and performance optimization in large databases.
Experience working with batch-driven architecture and high-volume transaction processing systems.
Functional knowledge of CDR roaming data interpretation Taxation AR RFS/Provisioning process
Familiarity with legacy systems and the ability to work in mixed technology stacks.
Understanding of rating charging mediation and billing cycles in a telecom environment.
Ability to navigate and update complex configuration-driven business rules.
Experience with Amdocs billing systems is preferred.

Base Pay Range: $92500 - $166800
Corporate Bonus Target: 15%
