Job Description


Visa is seeking an experienced payments professional to join Payment Services Acceleration Team. The team is responsible for development & enablement of key acceptance initiatives that expand acceptance and drive adoption of digital payment solutions and preference of Visa. This position will bring strategic thinking and consultative development and enablement to expand acceptance grow Visa usage and partner with acquiring clients & merchants to drive solutions. This role will also be responsible developing and leading strategy pricing rules and go-to-market plans to accelerate adoption of new product propositions across key markets in CEMEA. The role will collaborate with CEMEA Solutions Hub & Sub Regional Visa Rules Digital Solutions IRF & Pricing Global Consumer Payments CSS Marketing MS&A and Finance teams accelerate deeper client & consumer engagement.

 

2.  Responsibilities / Key Result Areas

As Senior Manager in Payment Services Acceleration team you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of our product portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering marketing and sales to ensure the successful development and execution of our product strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development: Develop and implement strategies to expand merchant acceptance and grow Visa usage in CEMEA
  • Drive Product Management function for the acceptance ecosystem in CEMEA to support the sub-regions including product adaptation and commercialization with a focus on 4 products: Grow Acceptance in Urban Mobility scale low-cost acceptance via Tap to Phone and newly launched Visa Accept products explore and pilot new Visa Tap use-cases
  • Support further expansion of Visa Acceptance by matching Visa objectives and solutions to merchants business development plans including: expansion into new growth sectors SME segments or key verticals non-card payments adoption of digital payments and new acceptance solutions
  • Client Partnership: Work closely with clients to drive innovative solutions and enhance their payment operations.

 

3. Strategic Nature Mgmt. Accountability & Scope

  • Provide leadership in product management and innovative solutions around acceptance solutions
  • Working collaboratively with key business partners (e.g. Merchant Sales & Acceptance Strategic Partnerships Business Development Pricing Legal)
  • Act as regional center of excellence for Seller Solutions providing thought leadership developing best practices and building product assets to support Sub Region Solutions and Business Development teams. Participate as Region SME in meetings with Clients workshops co-creation sessions and professional fora to secure client preference for Visa products

4. Decision Making & Complexity

  • Develop product plans including business cases project plan and organizational priorities contribute to development of product strategy
  • Decisions impact the implementation of plans to achieve annual goals OKRs

5. Reporting Relationships & Interactions

  • Based out of Kyiv Ukraine part of the CEMEA Regional Solutions Market Support Centre team
  • This individual will report to the Senior Director of Payment Services Acceleration CEMEA team

 7. Key Competencies

  • Client facing experience required with demonstrated professional maturity and ability to inform influence and drive the category
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with internal matrix with high level of success and achievement
  • Flexible and creative thinker with the ability to define business tradeoffs generate innovative solutions and manage uncertainty
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills interpersonal and presentation skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively (in English)

 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.


Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
Expertise in & solid understanding of the payments industry. Experience in Acceptance business is a plus but nor critical
Proven abilities in negotiating and influencing customers and stakeholders at all levels
Ability to represent technical and business ideas and solutions to multiple levels internally and externally to support strategic goals
Excellent time management organization and planning skills
Ability to understand financial concepts
Professional Degree in Business Management (or similar qualifications) with significant relevant experiences in a financial services company
Excellent communications skills written and verbal and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations
Ability to work independently and engage multiple levels of management in key decisions where required for the business
Excellent business planning and project management skills
Knowledge of Visa Systems is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools e.g. PowerPoint Excel Word etc
Flexibility to travel around the region and internationally as required
