Adjunct Instructor - Theatre

Summary:The Theatre Program in the Horton School of Music and Performing Arts at Charleston Southern University invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor of Theatre position beginning August 1 2025. Charleston Southern University seeks candidates who are professing Christians and who are committed to excellence in teaching and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education and be willing to explore with students the integration of faith and learning.
Work Performed:Primary duties include conducting online classes in Introduction to Theatre assisting students on assignments grading papers class management and submitting data on time as required by the institution (attendance grades etc.). The Adjunct Instructor will teach Introduction to Theatre courses primarily online with the potential of teaching in-person should circumstances allow. Part-time adjuncts are contracted term-by-term based on course/section need and availability.
Qualifications
This position requires a masters degree in Theatre or at least 18 graduate hours in Theatre. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Introduction to Theatre or Theatre Appreciation at the college level.
