Job Description
Potomac Shores Golf Clubis excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Golf Shop Attendant. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the Head Golf Professional and Assistant Golf Professionals on the daily management of golf operations
- Assist with golfer check-in and fee collection; control and manage play; reconciles daily tee sheets
- Assist in administering all point of sales application revisions and needs as it applies to green fee sales merchandise sales and member/guest billing.
- Promotes all club golf activities.
- Assist with maintaining a clean orderly and well-stocked golf shop.
- Assist with maintaining proper records and billing of storage and lockers for membership.
- Assist golf professionals during tournaments and weekly games.
- Monitors all members scores reports handicapping to USGA and bills members.
- Follows established opening and closing procedures.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Work experience and education requirements:
- Prefer previous golf course and/or retail experience
- High School Diploma
- Prefer some College or College Degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge Skills & Traits:
- Must be motivated to thrive in the golf industry
- Experienced in written and oral business communication
- Experienced in computer user including Microsoft Word Excel & Publisher. Proficient in other applications i.e. email internet and database
- Strong organizational planning and prioritization skills
- Self-motivated with desire to promote and market
- Service and customer focused attitude
- Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community
